Rough. And I'm nice.

Tools arrived in a worn box that was taped from time to time. The individual plastic bags are worn and dented. Are the tools coated with oil/grease? Pooh. Two tools with paint stains. I can only assume that they are "used". Returned immediately.

Pros
  • Six standard pliers of various sizes for use with almost every item
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Requires maintenance before use.

Haven't used every tool yet but upon opening, I noticed that two of the pliers were overly loose on the nuts - one was skewed; Both have been pushed down and are looking good at the moment. Two separate pliers have a tooth that appears deformed and needs to be filed before use. While I subscribe to the "get what you pay for" philosophy, if I expected to service these tools to use them, I would go to HF and look at each set before buying their brand.

Pros
  • Non-slip Ergonomic handles
Cons
  • High price

That's a pretty good value!

This set of pliers turned out to be exactly what I expected - a pretty decent set of pliers. They're inexpensive - a branded set costs 3-4 times more - and I think they're good value for money. They work, are lightly oiled to keep them from rusting during the long sea voyage from China, and should last for several years. This is the second backup set for me. If you want high quality, you have to pay the highest prices. I took off a star because the plastic bag they were put in was already torn…

Pros
  • Non-slip Ergonomic grips
Cons
  • Only available in black
