🚪 Enhanced Motor Products DS240 Advanced Door Jamb Switch Review

This thing cost me 2 or 4 bucks I think and it's still sitting in my door on my '89 Chevy and saved me from battery drain for 3 years/ Interior lights stay on, but be careful when removing the old one lest you break the old wires on your vintage cars.

Quality switch, I like the rubber around the top of the switch. But it didn't fit my '91 Dodge W250 because it was too long. It will most likely not fit and a 93 to 70's or 80's Dodge truck maybe. I've attached a photo of the switch. Old against new.

EVEN IF YOU WANT TO ORDER THE WRONG PART. ADVERTISING ERROR. THIS IS NOT THE SWITCH USED ON THE DRIVER'S DOOR OF A 1977 CORVETTE AS RECOMMENDED. 77 USES A THREE WIRE SWITCH, THIS IS A TWO WIRE SWITCH. IT CAN WORK ON THE PASSENGER DOOR BUT NOT THE DRIVER

The switch itself is fine but doesn't fit my car. Even if the cross reference says it will be. He was too small and crawled right into the hole. I did a little research and found that the 74 Charger has a larger size and found the correct size to order. It seems that three different places I've checked listed the wrong size for my machine.

I have no doubt the part is good quality but for some reason the threads are slightly larger than the hole for the part. The item I received is different from the one pictured and I knew it could be because the part was refurbished but both should have fitted perfectly. I'll just make the hole bigger to fit the part.
