Fits my 90yj, good fit for ignition lock and toggle switch

Fits my 90yj as OEM, had to remove steering wheel to remove screw holding it, remove and install steering wheel, 1 hour, cylinder change 1 minute

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Pain in butt but works great.

The Chevy K1500's steering column is very difficult to disassemble to access the lock cylinder, but once you've done that the installation is very easy. Before you start, prepare a set of steering wheel pullers. You can rent them at O'Reiley's or Autozone. Makes life a lot easier. Good quality cylinder/key. The whole job took 30 minutes and saved $225 compared to the local store and $700 less than the dealership.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Expensive

Works perfectly! the best switches

Works great! Looks great! Standard is the standard and the only brand I use due to their long and proven history of manufacturing quality auto parts. Please note: Installation requires a special tool or ingenuity to squeeze the steering lock plate! I used a column nut, a small washer, a large washer and two sockets. (see photo) I also took photos to keep track of location and piece count. But wow, once the ignition switch is in place and everything is assembled, everything works great!

Pros
  • everything is fine!
Cons
  • silent

Fits and works great, inexpensive repair

Direct replacement for my worn ignition switch on my 1980's CJ-7 Jeep. Yes, that's right, my AMC Jeep CJ comes with a GM tilt steering column from the factory. The old shifter turned without a key, making my Jeep vulnerable to theft. This part fitted perfectly and now my car is as reliable as new. I would definitely buy this product again and probably will as my 1987 Chevy pickup could handle a new ignition switch. I really like the black version, it looks much better than the old chrome on my…
