DON'T WORK! I bought a $35 pillow and got this "protector" as my dog is going to have dominance issues and will one day pee where my fiancé sleeps. Well my dog peed on it last night and the lid did absolutely nothing. Now I need to replace a new $35 pad and find better protection. Super frustrating!

I use black semi permanent hair dye. It tends to stain pillowcases. I bought this waterproof pillowcase and it works great. I used it on vacation in a rented house and was very happy that there were no stains on the pillowcase. I recommend this pillowcase. I was happy with my purchase.

I honestly hate these pillowcases. They look well tailored at first glance, but they are not breathable at all and leave air pockets when you adjust them in the middle of the night. Very hard, prickly, not breathing. Love the flash feature and as we missed the opportunity to return we will keep it but damn I hate it. I wish they were softer and more breathable. However, our standard pillows work just fine.

I did a lot of research and finally decided on them and I don't regret it one bit! We received them and washed them before use and put them on pillows with no problem. Fits great. Not too tight, not too loose, but just enough room to tuck a regular pillow in. No plastic rustling, no crazy air bubbles in the cover, no hot feeling from the fabric underneath my pillowcase. I use one for the guest room where I wanted to keep feathers sticking out. I think "prevents pen bulging" should be added to the product description list. Silent and breathable fabric I would say. I use a different set for my pillows, memory foam by the way. They tend to smell awful because sometimes I fall asleep before showering after a hard day at work or at the gym. I bought pillowcases from Four Seasons to protect a pair of feather pillows I recently bought and they work great for this purpose. I can't say it's as quiet as cotton as I can hear it rustling in my ear very clearly when I'm lying in bed and it's stiffer than a cotton blanket. I would imagine that any pillowcase that is generally effectively waterproof would be stiffer and make a little more noise than a cotton one.
