Excellent torque adapters.

Purchased to remove the front hood bolts on the B767 engine when replacing the engine. Some screws require this. you are doing great work

Pros

Great set for hand tools

Very good set. I use this set when working with motorcycles. I just have to tighten the hard-to-reach screws. An essential item in motorcycle repair

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • No power

Should have included a 1/4 " torque adapter size

A 12-point screw is common in aviation, especially with a 1/4" head. Since this set wasn't that big, I had to order it from Snap on and this adapter is $24. That one issue aside, this is a great set and I recommend it.

Good tools! best of torque wrenches

I had to tighten some 9/16 inch small head screws. The heads were 12 point 5/8 inch. It had to be tightened to 120 foot-lbs. I've tried to find a similar product with a 1/2" drive size due to the torque required but couldn't find anything at a reasonable price. They withstood the torque with no sign of damage. Impressive.

Pros
  • several competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Better or the same quality as Trucks

The constantly accelerating spiral at the bottom of the quality process did not bother the PROTO. The fit and finish is superior to tools from today's "leading brand". I have 20 year old brand name hardware tools that make modern trucks look poorly made. Tools chosen to get the job done at this point. Unfortunately, my home toolbox from when I was a locksmith is better than most today. With more than 20 years of trading experience and value for money, PROTO has few competitors. They work greatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Wrench
Cons
  • Brief instructions

American Quality Tools Highly Recommended

Stanley Proto Torque Wrench Set #J5100 Well made and works as intended. Proto usually offers quality American instruments and this is no exception. The keyholes are lobed so they turn to the sides of the fasteners rather than rounding them. The only thing I would say is that the finish on the back buttons has some minor chrome imperfections so I would rate the finish a 90% instead of the 98-100% I usually get from the SK and Snap On. However, this set is more complete than the snap-on set as aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Tools & Household Items
Cons
  • old

First, there were two 3/4" adapters in the kit, not 13/16". This is only a set of 9. I have bought hundreds of sockets at once and have never had a missing/duplicate one.More importantly the quality is not very good.I have new Taiwanese instruments that are much better than this one Stuff. The working end of the 3/8" adapter was sewn far from center, which is a bit of an issue for a tool designed to access tight spaces. The 3/8" adapter was also Slightly rounded at the bottom of the strapโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Torque Wrench
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
