The overflow tank was full and the radiator was empty which meant overheating. I think I had a vacuum leak in the cooling system. I replaced the radiator cap on my Dodge Caliber 07 with this and now the overflow goes low while the radiator stays full. how it should be. now everything is balanced in the world.
Bought because Revain said it would fit my 2008 Dodge Caliber and I liked the idea of the relief valve but it doesn't seal the radiator at all. Doused the entire engine with coolant. I'm not sure if this is a Revain issue or a seller issue, but I have no way of contacting the seller.
Bought this cap to replace a new Oreilly Murray cap which I have bought and returned twice. The Oreily cap caused an overheating problem and would squirt coolant at operating temperature. After installing the stunt, there will be no more overheating and coolant messes under the hood! Best $6 I've spent on my 5.7 Hemi.
This cap has a spring to hold the check valve (small brass washer on the water side of the cap) in the closed position unlike the 10331 Stant cap. While both fit my system, the 10331 didn't hold the pressure until I upgraded to this cap (10330). This issue was pointed out by the reviewer for the 10331 cap. It made my day.
I found this lid to be very thin and difficult to open with the lever up. I replaced it with a hard cap in less than a year. Last time I took it off I bent it because it's so thin. I temporarily replaced it with another vintage Robertson cap made from much stronger steel. I then bought a new sturdy Stant cap, which so far seems adequate.
