Stant 10835 Fuel Cap Review

The check engine light had been on for almost 2 weeks when I discovered my 2003 VW Passat was missing a gas cap. Bought this hat and put it on. After 10 minutes of driving, the check engine light went out.

The belt broke on the cover of my 2003 Audi TT and I ended up leaving it at the fuel pump. I was in dire need of a cheap replacement. This is a far cry from the quality of the original cap but it fits well and does the job.

Does not fit VW New Beetle 2009 although stated. FYI stunt number 10835 is listed here, other web parts stores list stunt number 10827. So I think someone at Amazon could verify the accuracy of the P/N versus the fit.

arrived just in time. I had a habit of always pulling away from the pump without the gas cap, so that saved me every time I did it. probably ordered twice while I was in high school. fits audi a6 2001 like a glove at an affordable price.

The cap latch on the original cap eventually broke and I started putting the cap over the pump while refueling. As I feared, I eventually forgot when I was in a hurry and had to look for a replacement. It was supposed to be a suitable replacement and it worked great and I suspect it will continue to work until one day I forget.

Ordered the correct part and even confirmed it by calling Stant. The original box showed part number 10841 and a picture of a different gas cap. The seller pasted a new label over the item number at the end of the tab and filled in the wrong part. Is not my fault; fault of the seller. No problem working with Revain for returns. just be careful I would not dare to buy this online again.

Revine pointed out that the Slant 10835 is the right replacement for my 2003 Audi A4. However, when used on an Audi A4 B6 this cap does NOT contain the magnet found in the original fuel cap which is required to trigger the sensor to close the cap which is a feature of these vehicles. If you replace your stock Audi A4 fuel cap with this replacement, the fuel cap warning light in the instrument cluster will always be on, indicating that your cap is loose or missing.
