🔑 Black Stant Regular Fuel Cap with Keyed Alike Feature Review

I BOUGHT TWO OF THESE ITEMS FOR TWO CARS FROM DIFFERENT YEARS. THE PROBLEM I HAVE IS THERE IS NO WAY TO ATTACH ONE TO THE CAR LIKE THE ORIGINAL FUEL CAP ATTACH. THIS IS A NEGATIVE SECURITY PROBLEM.

After struggling with this for a few weeks I just threw it away and bought it from my local auto parts store. The last straw was that I wasn't allowed to take it off at a gas station with dry tanks. This brand used to have a wide range but this hat was a nightmare.

Unlocked. I tried this on a 2000 GMC Safari van to replace the filler cap that was there when the check engine light was on. Never had such a problem with locking the gas cap. It didn't close like previous caps and when I thought it was stuck I tried it and it popped right off.

THE THIRD TIME IT WAS CHARMING, THIS MODEL IS FINALLY CLOSE. Purchased Stant lockable gas cap, 1-9/16" diameter. IT DIDN'T LOCK AND THE Gates 31782 LOCKED GAS CAP WHICH ALSO DOES NOT LOCK. GLAD TO FINALLY GET ONE THAT LOCKS

the cover works very well. I took it out of the box and replaced the factory plug. The cover is closed and cannot be removed without a key. The key works as intended. As gas prices go up I put these caps on both of our cars (the other is an 03 Grand Am) and they work great on both. Cannot be removed without a key. Great article.
