🖨️ Star TSP100 TSP143U USB Receipt Printer: Non-Ethernet Model for Efficient Printing Review

We have ordered several Wasp receipt printers and they are programmed for their cash register software. We had to send them back. We had Star receipt printers with our first computers in 1992 and I remember not having any issues with them which helped me make a decision out of all the possibilities. It was very easy for our technicians to install these new models and they went out of their way to tell me how easy they were to install. (We still use our old custom software from 1992)

I'm still trying my best to use it. My POS system does not support Star. and now i have a general problem that i deal with star tech support. They are still working on a fix for this which is that All Receipts barcodes won't print on my device, not even from their own setup can't use Receipt Flip, it doesn't automatically clip the receipt, it doesn't print my full business name on each one second receipt, and sometimes the receipt is 2 feet long.

I bought this printer to use with a square stand - it is not very reliable. After 3 days of use, the printer started turning on and off intermittently during use. All cables are securely connected, but it won't turn on if it doesn't want to. I called StarMicronics directly about the issue and they basically said that the USB printer is getting power from both the square stand and the wall outlet (but mostly from the square stand). I've only had it a few weeks but it prints and cuts receipts well and I haven't had any problems with it yet. A driver CD simplifies setup and installation and comes with all/all required cables. Fast delivery, excellent packaging, wish there was cardboard instead of foam but strong enough to be reused as packaging at a garden show this year. We just put the CD in the drive, did a silent install, then plugged it into a USB drive and Windows picked it up.
