Unreliable and Overpriced

After I put it to the test, I found this product to be a waste of money. The readings were inconsistent and the device failed to hold calibration. While it is made of stainless steel, the added cost for this feature is not justified.

Pros
  • Stainless steel construction
Cons
  • Inconsistent readings, unreliable calibration.

Worth the money when accuracy matters

Excellent caliper kit. I gave up digital and foreign gear and went back to a tried and tested set of American-made analog and dial-up devices. Pricey but if you want accuracy you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Standard certification letter to ensure caliper is tested and to specification
Cons
  • Non automatic

Beautiful Precision

This Starrett Caliper is a beautifully crafted precision instrument. My only suggestion would be to make the dial ring metal rather than plastic as it cheapens the overall look of what I feel is an otherwise excellent instrument.

Pros
  • Precise Graduation 0.02mm where one turn equals 2mm
Cons
  • Not Sure
