Through trial and error I found that this measurement tool provided me with accurate and consistent results. The tapered design allows for easy insertion and measurement of varying materials. Starrett is a very good product!

When we say Starrett we say something expensive but very high quality. The only thing I'm missing from these filling gauges is 0.25mm :((Of course we can use 0.10 + 0.15 or 0.20 + 0.05mm, but I'm still missing 0.25mm :( Anyway, these gauges are cool to me because they help me use them on nice tides (motorcycle valve timing) that are hard to get to with short calipers.
