📏 Starrett 66B Thickness Straight Gauge 0.0015 - 0.035 Review

Starrett = American Made Pinnacle, pure perfection! Words cannot describe it, you have to hold it in your hands and compare it to other things floating there.

This gauge set is one of the few gauges that doesn't have a sharp (usually small) edge around the curved outer edge. This caliber replacement has the consistently high quality I've come to expect from Starrett. The Craftsman equivalent doesn't offer this sheet thickness, Blue Point has the sharp edge mentioned above (this applies to several cheaper alternatives). The cost is a bit higher but you get what you pay for.

This Starrett gauge is way more expensive than most similar functional gauges offered by Revain, so... is it worth it? It definitely looks nice. When you hold it in your hands and look at it, you can feel that it is well designed and made with love. Small details evoke a sense of quality.
