Description of Starrett S829EZ Gauges Full Ball Pieces

Set of four small hole gauges for measuring holes, slots, grooves, and recesses in woodworking, metalworking, machining, layout, and pattern-making applications. Measuring range of 0.125 to 0.5"/3.2 to 12.7mm. Full-ball measuring surface is hardened and ground for two-point contact. Safety stop prevents gauge from adjustment beyond its range. Includes protective case for storage. Range: .125-.200", .200-.300", .300-.400", .400-.500". Hardened-ball measuring surface with two-point contact. Radius on each gage is less than the minimum diameter to be measured, which provides the two-oint contact necessary for maximum accuracy. Smooth, sensitive adjustment for better feel, giving more accurate measurements. The adjustment of the gage beyond their range is restricted by a safety stop that prevents breakage.

Waste of money: my feedback

This product is a poor representation of industrial and scientific technology .The gauges were inaccurate and inconsistent, providing erroneous measurements. The one positive aspect was the prompt delivery. unfortunately, the lack of quality completely negated any benefit..

They are very good and well suited for measuring holes

They are very good and well suited for measuring holes. Only thing is that the largest had a bit of "rust" on the threads which progressively gets worse in the threads making it difficult to turn.
