Screwed straight. Works perfectly. Saved a lot of money by buying it in place of the original equipment. I've compared them and they look identical in every way, including weight. It works great!

First work since we found and repaired a broken wire in the mower. The original mower (20+ years old) had damaged brushes. We will fix it and keep it as a backup. The starter worked with no problems.

I was so impressed with this starter that I queued all day to finish it and even photographed the wires and the old motor from different angles just to get it done in 45 minutes. The first attempt started very strongly. Not being a mechanic, I absolutely loved it!

starter is a starter. It was less than 6 months before the Cylindroid started having problems. Not impressed doesn't mean another isn't the same and won't last forever. I bought a replacement from my local parts store. Buying parts is always crap, good luck

Although the product was professionally packaged and appeared well made, it did not replace the Kohler 2509809 my Cub Cadet required. Instead of mounting bolts used horizontally, this device requires vertical mounting bolts. And this despite the image of the object showing the horizontal holes for the bolts.

I had to start quickly and this came in two days. I thought it was temporary after reading the bad reviews but I was surprised at how well it works. I drive this mower three or four times a day with no problems. You need to know how to install a launcher for this to work for you. I had to pad it out 0.10 inches. It also won't work if your flywheel is worn out.

After a little inspection I decided to buy this starter to replace the original starter on my 2003 Craftsman tractor with a Kohler engine. The new starter came in a box, the tape ripped on one side. Otherwise it was well protected. I checked it against the current starter and they looked the same except the installed solenoid was slightly different, all the connectors/bolt holes matched.
