This lightweight jacket is perfect for mild weather. The length of the body and sleeves is closer to a child's 9-10 than an 8, but in line with the family average. We'll have to wait a bit for it to fit properly. The soft top is not included, but can be folded up compactly.

For a children's jacket, this is great value for money. It should keep your kids warm in fairly cold temperatures, especially if you insulate it a bit. It is not waterproof and does not have a hood, so it is not suitable for humid climates. But it cools damn well. It is well made and good value for money.

Bought this jacket for my 8 year old son. He is thin and usually wears medium-sized children's clothes. I have a large one and although it's a bit baggy it doesn't feel too big. So if you want the jacket to have a looser fit, go up one size. The all black design is very cool. The jacket feels warm. It has a white Starter logo in the top zip area that appears when the jacket is open or half buttoned which looks pretty cool. This is a versatile, lightweight yet warm jacket with a great fit.

This is a really packable jacket. I always like when they come in a small package to wrap up, but to be honest I never do. I really like that this jacket has 3 (!) zippered pockets on the outside. And all zippers are secure, easy to use/well made. My son loves this jacket. I would recommend this product!

This is a lightweight jacket with a decent fit. The only problem is the zipper wasn't the most comfortable for kids. When I took it out of the box, it took me several tries to unzip it. I could do it but it would be difficult for a child to open it.

My son loves this jacket. Well made and very light, but also nice and warm. He likes bright red on the inside and blue on the outside. He enjoys the feel and comfort it brings him on windy and/or cold days! Definitely worth your money!

The size of this jacket is as expected, it is very light - it is very easy to put in a backpack or travel bag. What threw it into a star is the warmth (or lack of it), it really is a lightweight spring/fall jacket, not a down jacket for 'warmth' as the product description suggests. This down jacket is quite light, but still warm. The jacket appears to be true to size and my son finds it comfortable. The jacket was meant to be packed in a bag but I didn't manage to fit the entire jacket in one bag. I would only get about 80% of it in my pocket.

This is a beautiful jacket. It looks like a down jacket (it doesn't) and has nice lines. It is ideal for dry and cold weather, as if we are in the high desert here. It is not bulky and is therefore also ideal as an undercoat.

I really like starter products. This is a well designed coat made from high quality materials. It is a zipped jacket with a hood that protects against wind and rain. The bottom of the coat can also be pulled up for added protection. There are 2 zipped pockets on the front and an inner zipped pocket perfect for a mobile phone. The sleeves are also tapered at the ends to keep cold air out. Good product.

This lightweight down jacket is a comfortable jacket for boys. Slightly larger than the M girls jacket we got from the start, it's not too different in style, with a slightly longer sleeve and upper body. There's no hood, but three pockets are in the insulation to keep your hands warm. I couldn't figure out which inner pocket was big enough to fit a jacket in, but I'm not sure how often we'll be using this feature. Either way, it compresses easily and fits into a liter or smaller zip.
