So protection and staying power is 10/10. I have seen too much lip cancer to not protect my lips. The flavor is super chemical and awful but slightly minty. I use it because it lasts for hours! Even through drinking.

I work as a camp counselor and bought it to avoid getting sunburnt on my lips, it works great, it is a little sticky when first applied. I haven't gotten sunburnt lips since the flavor is okay but I don't tend to buy lip balm based on the taste.

I love this stuff. I actually put in on at night and have creaseless plump lips in the morning. I put it on in the daytime too if I feel like it. I’m not positive about sun protection yet since I feel like I haven’t seen it in months.

i bought this bc no matter what my lips burn like crazy in the sun. i didn’t have a problem with the taste of this, i actually thought it was pretty good! unfortunately it left a white film after an hour of wear, and that was without licking my lips frequently and without applying an excessive amount :( gonna keep it tho bc it tastes kinda fire

I read reviews about the flavor of this product prior to purchasing, but I was hoping the taste would come down to personal preference, and maybe it wouldn't bother me. Nope. This stuff is disgusting. I don't know how to describe how it tastes. Maybe a little bitter? It's not like I'm actively licking my lips all day, but every now and then it'll end up in my mouth, like if I'm drinking from a straw, for example. Don't do it. Don't buy this stuff unless you can't taste anything.

Everything is perfect about this lip balm except for the fact that it leaves you with an unpleasant aftertaste of sunscreen the entire time you wear it. If you can look past that, it’s a great moisturizing balm. I hope this brand reformulates this product so that we don’t have to taste sunscreen.

I like to think the bad taste is all the SPF protecting my lips. I wear this everyday despite the flavor. It works well but I won’t repurchase.

I was hoping this would be like the original product but it is quite different. The flavor is not the same and the consistency is much different. I’m disappointed because I really loved the original version. Probably will not purchase again.

I’ve used this same Supergoop lip balm in "Mint” without the "Play” name, and although they both work great, "Play” smells bad to me. I threw it away after trying it for a week.

I’ve had this product before and I loved it. BUT this time it smelled like garlic! So weird. It was still moisturizing but I just couldn’t use a lip balm that smelled like garlic 😩

I super wanted to love this but I can't get over how bad it tastes. It just really bitter an coats the tongue. I'll be looking to replace.

I probably wouldn’t use this unless I was going to be hiking or didn’t have sun protection because it gets in your mouth eventually and all you can taste it sunscreen for a while. Not sure how I feel about ingesting sunscreen

This is a perfectly adequate lip balm. I wanted it to keep in the car, hoping it wouldn’t melt like my beloved Burt’s Bees does in a hot car. It does meet that objective, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again. Since it’s a gel-like consistency, it inevitably ends up in my mouth and tastes shockingly bad! :)

After reading reviews I noticed a lot commented on taste. I got Açaí & I have to say it wasn’t bad at all. Now I knew not to expect the best on taste as it has SPF in it. What I really liked is how I drank on the beach and poolside and it was still in! My lips didn’t get burnt at all! Protect those lips y’all!

I was so excited to try this product. I’d read positive reviews so I anticipated when it would arrive by revain. I was truly disappointed. Everything that it says it is, it is not. Unless you’re a toddler or a young person, you will not like this product. It is sticky, and I can peel it off with my nails. If your lips have known years of sun or they are in anyway textured, this product is not for you.

I overall like Super gooo play balm, it moisturized my lips very well but it leaves a chemical taste in my mouth. I hope they fix that in the future

One of my go-to lip balms. I really enjoy Goop products and have been replacing my lip balms for several years now with Goop. Mint is my favorite but will settle for Açaí if that is all they have. Love that they have sunscreen in them!

I’ve read the other reviews and although I have only been using it for about four days now I so far love the product, I haven’t experienced the bad taste some are stating. It lasts for hours, better than other types I have tried.

I had to send this back as I couldn’t tolerate the taste. I’ve had açaí but I didn’t like this.oh well , I went back to Laneige lip mask.

I love the texture of this lip balm and it's one of the few SPF lip balms that actually moisturizes your lips without leaving them more dry, but my biggest complaint and the one reason why I probably won't purchase this again is after a while the lip balm will travel into your mouth and it tastes absolutely awful and you cannot get the taste out of your mouth for like an hour.
