Steadicam Electronic Handheld Stabilizer Including Review

I bought the Volt because I'm interested in filmmaking and I like making videos with friends and family. I knew the Volt would be great because the steadicam is what the pros use. Volt is even better than I imagined. It was easy to set up and use and works great with my GoPros and iPhones. Now I get amazing action shots that are smooth and fluid with professional results. This is an amazing tool. I highly recommend it.

So where do you start with this nice, bright, cheap, well controlled, well balanced device? So the packaging itself is annoying, but not the bug. He needs protection like a swaddled baby. Very nicely made and constructed and I was hoping that the weight at the base would be enough to stabilize the weight of my iPhone X with lens mount. Unfortunately, this was not destined to come true. This tool requires accurate 3-axis centering before turning the power on. I am using a Moment lens (heavier) and the physical settings of the device were not sufficient to bring my settings into the working range. I use my Samsung Gear360 with only one active 180 degree fisheye camera to get great running videos. But the stabilizer really helps, so I wanted one that would work with my phone and Gear360. To do this with this Volt model I simply drilled a hole where I knew the 360 would balance and added a short screw to tighten the chamber. Having tried one I'm not very happy with the Volt and it doesn't live up to the overly enthusiastic hype I've read about it. Short version: The Volt is a massive improvement over basic cellphone video capture, but I always have a crooked horizon, even after a near-perfect calibration.
