Steam Release Handle Valve Instant Review

Can't rate durability as I haven't had it long enough but I like the fit, the gasket is much more precise than the original. One downside to the thing is that for a quick reset, you have to hold the valve all the way through the outlet. But in general I liked it so much that I bought a second one.

As far as I can tell 100% identical to the original that came with my Instant Pot Duo Mini 3 Qt. pressure cooker. I got this after the original went down - you guessed it - down a garbage chute and came out pretty bruised and battered. It still worked, but I'd rather play it safe with a pressure cooker than have an explosion in the kitchen.

Because I foolishly skipped the water test after purchasing the Instant Pot, I unknowingly used it for two years with a fine crack in the steam valve. The vapor leak gradually increased to the point where I knew there was a problem. Due to an unknown issue I was unable to purchase a replacement from the manufacturer without waiting, so I ordered this valve based on Revain reviews. I've had it for a few months now and it works perfectly.
