This is a well made corset but just so you know it DOES RUN SMALL even when following the specific measurements listed. I am 5’5 113 Ib and normally wear size small shirts. I ordered a medium due to the measurements and it was still to small. I do have mismatched measurements though. Overall good product. It's best to go one size up if you on on the top edge of a size because the straps will fall off your shoulders if you have the lacing too loose. As for covering the zipper, it comes with a small leather thong, I used the elastic hide it. Cut it from the thong and tie it in a loop vertically so it covers the front of the zipper and then loops around on the side of the zipper on your body.It is also much easier to do up the zipper if you lace the top first some, zip, then…

I really like this! I haven't actually worn it yet but I tried it on and fit very nicely, was comfortable, and I liked the look.I normally wear a 32 inch pants (worn at the level of the tops of my hip bones not my true waist) so I ordered the XXL and it fits very nicely. If I wanted to lace it up tight I'm not sure I would have had room to really crank it down but since I just want it snug but not tight it is a nice fit with room to tighten it up a bit more if needed but not an overly large gap

The texture is more like suede than leather, but it is really soft and beautiful. The color shown is accurate.My only problem is the size. I am 5'5" and 145 lb. I bought XL but I have to open up the back about 4 or 5 inches, just to be able to zip it up in front. On the size chart, XL should fit these measurements:bust: 38-40 / D-DDhips: 39-41waist: 30-32Um. no. Not even close.I'll make it work for Halloween, but I'm disappointed in the misleading size info.

I could wait to try this on as soon as I received it. It looked much better than I expected it, especially for the price. There is a hint of a glare on the picture that made me think the material was a bit rubbery, however, when I opened the package I was so happy to see it does not have a glare at all. This was better than expected but I do have to comment on the lack of adjustable shoulder straps. They are way to big on me and I'm going to have to find a way to adjust them myself so I can wear it. (Picture it fitted across the stomach and chest but hanging loose at the top.) It works well for what it was purchased for with a few minor adjustments. I also like that it's not as much of a wetlook as I was afraid it was going to be. I absolutely love this item though!

I give this 5 stars so long as you have a sewing machine on hand and don’t mind making some updates.1st, remove the zipper! Then sew those seams back together2nd, remove the modesty flap in the back so that your under shirt will show through the laces and not a dumb flap of fabric3rd, change out the laces. My corset arrived on time and is true to color. The size is a bit small, which is to be expected in corsets, but I wish there was less of a gap in the laces in the back. I also received a matching leather thong that I do not need since I plan to use it for a halloween costume over a green dress! I bought this for a pirate Halloween costume. I typically would’ve bought a medium but I followed the sizing guidelines and got a large and it was a little too big. I would’ve sent it back for a medium but didn’t have time before our party. Otherwise, great quality and definitely works as a corset. I had trouble with it riding up and the straps falling off my shoulders but again I think that may be due to the size.

I'm leaving this review because I read a ton of them before deciding on which size to order. I went with a Medium. I'm 5'4", 32DD, 126lbs (size 4 dress) and it was TIGHT. It fit though, and I was not uncomfortable - unless I sat down. The arm straps are unusually big though. I had to sew them & add new rivets for them to even stay up.
