Better for older kids

Rather difficult for a small child to assemble. The seven-year-old nephew was very upset. The parts weren't that easy to put together. It would be much better with the help of adults. Especially the wheels. Even with adult help, they were difficult. The pictures in the book did not match the details. Showed slightly different colors of the pieces. Made assembly a bit confusing.

Doesn't work with gear sets

I used this as a reward system for a kid who worked really hard to earn it. So excited, the kid stayed up to set everything up but found he had no strength. The batteries are charged and new ones inserted. I bought two so the other kid could earn one too, but after seeing how upset the one who already earned it is, I'm concerned if it might be a reward for work. Very disappointing to say the least.

Surprised and delighted

Surprised and delighted with this set. Pleased with how well the pieces fit together. Nice solid plastic. I was expecting the finished truck to be a little wobbly with so many small parts, but no, very solid. The truck even has a little leveling switch on the bottom in case the wheels don't move straight when you're done. Wonderful! It was a worthwhile purchase and my grandson, 6, and I had a lot of fun putting it together.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Not Recommended in Gear Sets

Here's what I don't like about this product.1. Pretty difficult to assemble. Then the end product is not strong at all, you pick it up and it will break eventually.3. It only had a small tiny battery, so it doesn't work well.4. The rotation control on the remote is up-down, not left-right5. It is always difficult to connect the remote control to the car, the power switch has to be turned on and off and then connected again. I have always used Lego products and I have to admit that the quality…

Not best value in Gear Sets

This product is very cool. in theory. I liked the idea of building a remote control lego truck. But difficult to assemble. The parts are very close together, making them difficult to connect. My 7 year old son struggled and even I had trouble putting the pieces together. He lost interest in assembly because he couldn't read the instructions and struggled to put the parts together. So I built it while he watched. Not what we wanted. The instructions are TERRIBLE! not impossible to find out. but…

Disappointing "STEM " kit

Got this for my 8 year old girl as a Christmas present with intentions of building it with her. Firstly, the instructions are not as simple and clear as one would expect from a product for children of this age group. My daughter can assemble Lego sets and models from several hundred pieces without help, and she had her hands up in about 15 minutes. Assembly pictures are difficult to read and do little to illustrate the relationships between parts in a way that is easily reproducible. I actually
