This one size life jacket WILL NOT FIT the size 6 woman it was designed for - it is too big. Even when fully tightened, it can slip off your head and body in an emergency. To return.

This is a great life jacket - I'm 5'1" and my husband is 6'1" but we can both use them for kayaking. I don't like it tight around the arms at all, so paddling is easy and doesn't rub.

Adult size "Universal Fit" is NOT suitable for people over 150 lbs. Product height is suitable if you are LESS than 5ft 9in AND your waist is LESS than 30in. In other words, it suits skinny teenagers. I order oversized and keep my fingers crossed.

I thought I would buy a universal lifejacket. This needs to be explained better by clarifying what is meant by "universal size" and not "large size". I sew the straps on a little more so that they sit tighter and then everything is fine. Otherwise this is a very good value jacket. I tried it in the pool and it has great buoyancy.

While these life jackets are great: nice and light, easy to move around when kayaking, one of them is clearly reversible, which hasn't been tested. One was used and dirty (see photo) and missing all the tags and booklets that the other had. Now that they are out of stock I cleaned the dirty one and decided to keep it for myself. I understand that returns happen but verification must be done before it gets to the next buyer.

I'm torn about this life jacket. I really want to like it. Attractive design and equally attractive price. But the Stohlquist Fit comes from a quality manufacturer and everyone expects a quality product. Unfortunately, the Stohlquist Fit is not very comfortable. We bought 2 of these for our tandem kayak and at first I thought they were great -> so far dry. But in a kayak they go up. The jacket does not fit well at the waist. I feel like if we actually got in the water it would fly over my head. This is comfortable when paddling, but uncomfortable when sitting deep in a kayak.
