I bought this product to clean my slate shower. After three cleanings on the same area of the test tile, there was no noticeable difference in hard water accumulation. Works well in areas with slightly hard water deposits. The heavy sections helped tear it apart, but they had to be scraped off. I also used a stiff bristled electric drill brush and it worked well for small areas. It took a lot of scraping to remove the heavy areas, even after soaking in the tile for a while. This polish works well for removing water deposits from a black granite shower stall with a smooth finish. I use a Makita variable speed polisher, which is much faster and less painful than hand buffing. I don't think hand polishing will give the same results as a mirror clean tile. The only downside to this polish is its slightly creamy color, which ruins my black grout.
