Not what I expected

They're strong, but the fringe is so short that things can easily fall off the top. It works well with pasta, but handmade is no exception.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • There's some nuance

Crumpled handle on food strainers

Received with crumpled handle. I don't know, during delivery or before (sent in an envelope, not a box). Also, there is a slight movement of the filter just by holding it by the handle.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • All right

Save time and space

I bought this set because of the small item. My baby is in the macaroni and cheese phase and I'm tired of pulling a colander out of the cupboard, scrubbing leftover pasta out of every nook and cranny, making sure it takes up half the drain on the plate, and put it back in the closet only to pull it out the next day. This tool is easy to use, clean and store.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Frequency

Great product but needs an overhaul

Like the others, razor sharp edges on arrival. Took out my dremel and smoothed out any imperfections and so far so good. Does what the filter is supposed to do. Would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the sharp edges. Sandpaper or Dremel will fix it, but why does the customer need it? Add a smoothing robot to the process and you'll always get 5-star reviews.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Jagged edges.

This set just arrived and will be returned today. The large sieve had jagged, razor-sharp edges all around and could pose a hazard to those who did not handle it very carefully every time. The smaller one also had speckled spots with jagged edges. The larger filter I ordered a few years ago was heavier and well made. Bad attempt to copy the original.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Different from what I bought first

This is a significantly different quality and construction than my last purchase a few years ago. The metal is stamped and has rough/sharp holes/edges and the handle is now riveted/attached to the one hand net where the previous design was one piece. The metal itself is thinner and the dimensions are slightly smaller compared to the previous ones. They still work, but you get absolutely less for the same money. Didn't expect to be disappointed as we love our old set.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Durable

Watch your fingers when using food strainers

I really hope mine is the only one sharp as a knife. I just used it, then hand washed and cut the palm of my finger on each of my calloused work hands. When this product is stamped into shape, pull the edge of the metal up a little, creating a sharp edge like a knife. It said I love the product it works great and easy to clean just needs to file the edge a little hopefully quality control has tightened the ship or production could use the grinder/mill at the factory to stop it bleeding Finger.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Good quality, just a few design issues.

The quality of the steel on it is excellent. I've had them for a few months now and am happy with them. Both of my complaints are generally minor. First, the crease at the top of the strainers makes it difficult to prevent very full pots from spilling when draining. I had cheat noodles in my sink because the line on top wasn't straight. Second, the edges of the holes were not fully smoothed out on either side. If I hand wash them, the sponge can tear at the slightly raised edges. However, if…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
