Easy to install, runs smooth and quiet (no more squeaky pulleys!). Unfortunately, the cable is rusting under the clear coat and is slowly but surely moving the length of the cable. Not sure if it's just surface rust or if the entire cable will degrade (weaken) over time. Only time will tell, but it doesn't look pretty anymore.

The initial quality seems to be very good. I ran a line about 50 feet from my house to a tree about 20 feet away. It came with only one pad, for a 50ft run I think 3 would be better so I'm ordering 2 more pads. I think one spacer for every 15 feet of yardage would be a good rule of thumb. Plastic coated metal wire is a really good material, it doesn't stretch as much as rope. The tensioner works very well. This kit has 150 feet of line, enough for a 75 foot run.

This clothesline is one of the best things in the world! It has an extremely long, complete system, very strong, with one exception. I would recommend buying separate hooks for hanging on walls, wood and poles. The ones that came with the kit broke in half when I manually screwed them into the wall. This is a well made reel with plenty of line. We are very happy with it. We placed it 50 feet between the deck and the big tree. I worried about our hurricanes in Montana and that the tree might sway and snap or snap the line. That's when I realized that the pulleys have a built in function when you add hardware that isn't shown or mentioned on the box. You can easily add extension springs. Keep in mind that there are no instructions with this kit, but the installation is easy enough to figure out. I just measured which trees gave me the closest to 75 feet. The casters are very strong and durable and the kit includes a 150ft clothesline - more than double what we needed for our project so we can replace it in the future if the need arises. I liked the ease of use and the concept of this clothesline. There were no problems with the installation, the installation took less than 30 minutes for me. My only two minor complaints are that I wish the tensioning mechanism used a wrench instead of just hand tightening. Second, it took the longest time to untangle the cable after you cut the zip ties holding it. It would be easier to wind up this cable on a reel. And something else.
