Getting these shoes on my son's feet is frustrating. They are very tight to slip into. I've tried stretching the rubber bands but so far to no avail.

Got these for my 5 year old with DS who has wide feet and they seem to fit really well. The Velcro helps him put his shoes on himself which is a plus. They are lightweight but have held up well over the summer playing in the mud and sand, running and cycling. They were a great bargain and we will definitely buy again when the time comes.

I bought extra wide for my 2 year old and they didn't fit. The laces on top of sneakers make them too tight to fit your foot. The shoes may not have sufficient grip for certain activities!

I did not receive the advertised shoes. It's definitely not too wide. If you are looking for a true ultra wide shoe for toddlers I would recommend the new Balance. I was hoping they would make good church slippers, but no.

We love Stride Rite shoes. Our daughter has wide feet and they always work perfectly. We first ordered a wide fit which by definition was not wide. So we sent them back for a very roomy fit. They arrived with regular laces instead of elastic laces (impractical for a 4 year old). All in all our most disappointing experience with this brand.

These shoes are very cute, especially for the price. I was so excited to get these for my daughter. When they arrived I noticed they had no inserts as shown in the picture. It was just white paint on the sole of the shoe, which I found odd. I also noticed some dirt and what appeared to be tiny pebbles on the soles of the shoes. I'll be back, I'm so excited!

Difficult to find shoes in store due to grandson's wide foot. We had trial and error, but we got it right in the end. Thanks.

I ordered the 5XW but they are a lot smaller than the other Stride Rite shoes I've bought for my daughter. Honestly I am very disappointed as I used to love this brand very much.

Perfect width and size for my son's HAFO. The only thing I had to buy was longer laces because the loop was tiny and kept coming undone. Well made shoes. He's had them for a month and a half now and they're holding up great! Insoles removed to provide required additional depth. Love it.

This shoe has held up well to typical 8 years of energy and activity, which is a lot more than I can say of the last brand we tried. My child finds the very large width very comfortable and likes to wear the shoes. The only downside is the round laces which make it difficult to keep them tied, especially for kids who are new to lacing. This became an opportunity to learn about double knots in our home. Ordered this for my granddaughter after having her feet professionally measured and finding that she actually has *very* wide feet. very happy with the landing. I noticed some reviews complaining that the extra wide shoe only comes with laces and not velcro on top, but I read all the details of the shoe and looked at all the pictures. It is very clear from the shoes that the very wide sizes do not have velcro at the top.
