These scissors are sharp and well designed. It takes a little getting used to, you can't use it like scissors, but the instructions tell you to use short, quick pulls. Good value for money. Saves a lot of time polishing/fitting stained glass.

Foil cutters take some getting used to. You should walk slowly and take small pieces of paper with you. You can't just use them like regular scissors. Once you get the hang of it, these scissors will work great. You remove just as much paper as is needed for the thickness of the film.

I use clear self-adhesive paper to create patterns, so I can just stick it to the glass surface and sand it to the edge without messing with marker lines that wash off. These scissors are tough. You won't always get a clean cut, but you have to think about how much time you'll save if you don't have to go back and forth to the sander a hundred times before and after foiling. In my opinion, it's worth taking the extra time and touching up with regular scissors if needed.
