Poor product on water pumps

As with most products my one year warranty has expired exactly three months and the first pump just stopped working replaced but now watch for flickering and now this first wave of two pump has stopped completely. I've increased the flow on the first pump, but won't be replacing the second until it burns out, which probably will soon. Do not buy from this manufacturer in my opinion.

Unreliable for a tank. Stop working!

I just ordered them for seawater or aquarium mixing. I'm so glad I didn't really try to use them in my tank all the time. After using it once for about ten minutes it stopped working. You could hear and feel the engine running, but it wasn't turning. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it worked again. But now every time I use it it stops and starts again. I knew it wasn't going to be a super quality product because it was really cheap, but I think it will work fine for mixing my water…

Wow just wow: Aquarium Pumps and Filters

Wow I just added 2 to my 75g tank and it's almost overflowing (remember my sump return pump is already doing over 1000 gallons per hour delivers). The circulation is really good, I have an almost perfect double circulation. The suction cup is so strong that you can use it to open the microwave door (that was my test of whether it's a good suction cup or not). Construction looks cheap, but not cheap junk. It's only been in the tank for 3 hours so can't comment on durability but for the price…

Flow lower than expected, short cable.

Yes the price is right and you get two printheads but not enough flow for half my 37 gallon salt water tank. I keep a powerhead on each end plus a return pump. The first issue was that the short cord limited the location as there was no way to make a drip loop. Every submersible pump should have a drip loop. This means that only one pump can be used near the power source at a time. The current looked good initially but after a few days sediment started to form on my sand and rocks. My hand felt

Almost too much for a 54 gallon bowfront.

Needs intelligent placement to ensure safe power supply. Currently I can't keep it activated. Once I find the right sponge to restrict the flow, things get a lot better. Pros: Fairly Quiet Powerful Inexpensive Cons: Short cord Bulky/Big Able to suck fish/plants through front/water flow *Output*. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the cons. The cable is the biggest downside, a really annoyingly short cable. Short enough that you need an extension cord to connect the tank to an extension cord on…

Cheap water circulation, weird distribution pattern

Well I bought this unit thinking it was just a more powerful version of a smaller unit than this. It's definitely more powerful, but while the smaller blue impeller head shoots straight into the stream, these waters just seem to "scatter" all over the place in front of them. They still move a ton of water but they couldn't work the way I need them to but they were so cheap I kept them and one of them is in my 55 now so if you just want to move water is that great. If you're trying to create a…

This is a great wave generator and water circulator!

This is a great wave generator! I bought 2 units for my 55 gallon fresh water tank after reading numerous reviews that said 2 units was the way to go. However, I think a single block for water circulation would work well (as seen in the video I posted). A block circulates very well in the upper, middle and lower range. I'm really impressed with the circulation with just 1 unit. I don't currently have any fish in my tank (while adding live plants and giving them time to root), so I'm a little…

Good pair of circulation pumps for my 150 gallon aquarium

I have a sparsely planted 150 gallon aquarium with a few large decorative items. I have 2 canister filters but returning them doesn't create much water movement in my tank. All water movement was previously mapped to 330 gallons per hour head and it just wasn't enough. There were dead zones everywhere I put it. Enter them. I first placed one where the powerhead was and immediately noticed it was a big improvement. I placed the other on the opposite end of the tank and positioned it to hit some…
