We didn't have much sun over the next few days, but then temps jumped up into mid-90s for 3 days and pool and pool temp jumped to 86-degrees. Perfect. Lesson learned: if you have little sun on the pool to begin with, this solar cover doesn't receive the rays necessary to make any difference. It didn't do much for the temperature (2 degrees, maximum)Without a reel to put on and take off, this is too much for 2 elderly people to put on, take off, and fold up, especially if you're trying to keep it clean while folding.It didn't sink during rain, so that was surprising. I doubt we'll use it again.

I ordered this because September October is when you start to feel the change in your pool water where it gets cold and you no longer want to go in. Now we do live in Florida and sometimes the summers don’t stop and sometimes like this year we’re getting an early break from the heat.
