Description of 🌞 Compact Sunnytech 0.5W Solar Panel Module - DIY Charger B016 (5V, 100mA)

DIY YOUR OWN SMART MODEL----Build your own powered models, solar toys, solar lights, solar displays, charging small DC batteries. It can be used for teaching purpose. Many of our customers come from school, colleague, etc. BLOCKING DIODE INSTALLED ----A blocking diode installed already in the backside to protect the solar panel from over-charging and current backflow. HIGH QUALITY & EASY USE---- High quality epoxy resin, unique technology to make the components beautiful and strong, anti-wind and snow, increase the service life of solar panels. Color coded wires with alligator clips make working with it easy and fun. For those of you who want to connect more than one panel together, this panel has two soldered tabs for permanent connections. EDUCATION---- Solar panels are devices that absorb sunlight and convert solar radiation directly or indirectly into electricity through photoelectric or photochemical effects, it's perfect devices for science project. CONNECT SOLAR PANELS IN PARALLEL OR IN SERIES---- When the voltage of your solar panel doesn’t satisfy your storage battery, you can take two or more same solar panels together in series. Such as, two 5.5v solar panel connect together in series, so its voltage is 11V. When the voltage of solar panel satisfies your storage battery. In order to speed up the rate of charge, you can take two or more same solar panel together parallel connection.

Excellent solar cell, best in generators and portable power supplies

I really don't know what other people are complaining about: I'm an EE and this cell is well made and appears to be weatherproof. The wires are well bonded and of good quality. As with all solar cells, direct sunlight is required to provide full output current and voltage. I use it to charge a tiny 3.7V battery.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • I have my doubts

This small project solar panel is non-refundable.

Works, but performs a little less than described (approx. 70 percent of described) in full sunlight and can hardly light up the smallest LED lamp. I had to choose a much larger power supply so it could be used for a student classroom demonstration. It's nice that the product includes a protection circuit that should be useful. Please note that the item is non-refundable.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Price piggy bank

It provides power

This provides the signaling voltage for a solid state relay requiring less than 5 volts at about 10mA. I can't tell if it will deliver the maximum power rating or how long it will last as it was only used for about a week. Of course it was a simple and convenient source of signal voltage to control a large solar powered borehole pump via a solid state relay with a small float switch. I couldn't find a float switch that could handle 5 amps at 180 VDC!

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Vulgarity

It works, but it needs FULL sun to get 100mA output current.

Works but needs full sunlight. no clouds. I connected a 90mA fan to it and it worked fine as long as it was in direct sunlight, but as soon as a cloud appeared it failed to turn the fan on. I'm not an expert on solar panels so maybe I should have known that in direct sunlight it only outputs a maximum of 100mA. I ordered it because I needed something that would work for indoor lighting. Spring. Not her fault.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

They work great and have proven to be reliable.

I used some of these to charge 3 AA (4.3) batteries and 2 AA (2.9V) batteries used to power some external wireless temperature sensors (Fibaro and SmartThings). . They work great, charging AA NiMH batteries at 100mA in bright sunlight and around 5mA in the shade. They survived 2 years on the road (just bought a few more) in temperatures as low as -35C. A blocking diode prevents the cells from discharging at night.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • No performance

*Updated to "Sorry doesn't work for me either "

Updated: works. Maybe I'm stupid, but I've tried it in different weather conditions and different lighting conditions and had trouble getting it anywhere. I decided to leave it on my window in case it works. In direct sunlight without clouds, it works. Mine is still in the window, just hooked up to an LED and it gives the appropriate power. From what I understand you can connect several together to get higher voltage.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Update available

Equipped with a ring bar

I didn't want to spend money to load up a ring bar to figure out where to put this huge thing in my wall that ended up looking like an eyesore. Connected it with a USB cable and put the cell in front of it. Beautiful, neat and almost imperceptible. Although it doesn't fully charge the camera even with almost 2 hours of direct sunlight, I charged it from every 3 weeks to almost a month and a half before taking it off so it was worth the effort. Give 5 stars because it really works and much…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some problems

Go to work. In the end

I needed a solar panel to attach to a motor for a science project. The alligator clips that came with it didn't work at first. Hm? Maybe my motor is defective? No, the motor ran on battery - everything is fine. Maybe connections? There was a bunch of rubber on the back of the solar panel covering ALL the connections - I assume everything was meant to stay in place. The problem was I couldn't see through the footage to make sure everything was connected. We ended up scraping it (it took a while…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
