Fit surefire, its bright for NV

Puts a nice glow for UV objects and is bright for NV use, you need a dimable light source, it degained my NV until i changed to a different 123 battery.

Pros
  • Tools & Home Improvement
Cons
  • May not be bright enough for some tasks

Excellent upgrade to Surefire flashlight

My original SureFire flashlight had a halogen bulb. It still worked but it was a higher drain on the lithium battery and brightness could be improved. I tried this upgrade to an LED bulb to address both issues. It was a straight drop in and worked extremely well. Assuming the bulb life is as advertised, my SureFire is good for many more years.

Pros
  • Works great does just what it says, UV black light.
Cons
  • May not be compatible with rechargeable batteries

Not super bright in my review

I experimented with the 940nm IR LED and my gen3 night vision, and it had about a throw of 30-40yds. Not exactly earth-shattering performance, and it is pretty diffuse at that point as well. Wouldn't worry much about these causing your tubes to auto-gate, in other words. The bulb turns red, but it's not producing any real amount of visible light otherwise, so I don't see that as much of a problem in this context. In conclusion, this is a reasonable drop-in LED for a personal IR flashlight to be…

Pros
  • Safety & Security
Cons
  • May be difficult to find replacement bulbs

If you have a Surefire light available and need a UV light option, this is it. While it's quite interesting to play around with during Halloween or anytime really, it is also very useful in the practical sense. NEVER stay in anymore hotel/motel rooms without this! Trust me, you're really going to be surprised/horrified at what you find, even in your own clean and supposedly spotless home. I had my doubt about this UV bulb really working but it definitely DOES work greatly.

Pros
  • Flashlights
Cons
  • May have a short lifespan

940NM is supposed to be invisible

THere is still a red glow visible by eye, so not a true 940nm, still need it as a spare for my 850nm light. If we order 940nm send a tested 940nm plz

Pros
  • The bulb is incredibly easy to install, requiring no need for professional or specialized skills
Cons
  • May not hold up well under heavy use
