Looks really cool when fully open. However, I didn't get 5 stars because using it in flower vases caused the flowers placed in them to die the next day. They are greedy, thirsty little nuggets. A VERY small amount will fill a large vase and absorb all of the water, keeping the flowers dry. They will also continue to grow until they fall out. I ordered these along with the clear water balls for the sensory pool for my son's first birthday. It was a huge success and by far the most talked about activity at the party. These beads expanded very quickly, much faster than I expected. One thing I noticed was that the blue beads came in the packaging and branding pictured here, while the clear beads came in regular unbranded packaging.
