Wire is fairly good (for certain purposes)

I rent and can't run cables through the walls or baseboards. You need a wire that can be easily attached to the wall without ugly brackets. Also my walls are the same color as the wire. The inner bar is actually perfect for nailing to the wall. Because of the "flexibility" of the wire, it actually sits on the floor when you do it that way, and nailed tight enough, it hugs the wall nicely when nailed. Twisting sideways is kind of a trick -- it helps separate three pieces an inch or two as you…

Pros
  • Low profile for unobtrusive passage along baseboards and under carpet.
Cons
  • confused

Not very comfortable to work with.

The idea is good, but not fully thought through. The wide, flat insulation around the wires will ruin a regular wire stripper, and if you're actually using the entire wire, there aren't enough wall anchors included to get the job done. Because it's flat it's very awkward and difficult to make a flat 90 degree turn and the wire twists like a garden hose between the anchors instead of being routed flush against the wall like it should. If you really want to keep the speaker wire out of sight, run

Pros
  • Handy for home theater systems and other external connections.
Cons
  • For pensioners

Quality wire that blends into the wall!

I installed a new home theater system and used SuperFlat to connect my right, left and center (wireless rear) speakers. I love the off-white shade that melts on the wall and the flat jacket sits almost flush against the wall. The wire is soft and pliable, easy to work with: it bends easily around corners, it is easy to cut and strip. Flat wire sheaths can be difficult to strip with a cheap wire stripper—the typical Rat Shack round-hole wire stripper—but the Irwin Industrial Tools 2078300 8-inch

Pros
  • Flexible design for easy routing in corners and around door jambs.
Cons
  • The list will be long.
