I installed 2 of these on a Tyan workstation with two narrow ILM lga 2011-3 ports. The fans are very quiet with the minimum 30% PWM duty cycle offered on this board. They get a bit noisy at 100%, but the cooling is so efficient that I never run the fans at this high speed for long periods of time. The motherboard is a super micro X9SRL-F with a rectangular LGA2011 connector (most are square). Both mounts are included, so that wasn't a problem. Works great on ILM LGA 2011 Narrow Outlet Replace Noctua NH-D9DX i4 3U with it. The Noctua NH-D9DX i4 3U works great when you want the fan mount to be parallel to the dimming slots. I wanted the fan to go out to the back of the case so using this heatsink would be better. I might have to sand the corners with a grinder when I add the last 4 sticks of RAM with heat spreaders, but at least the fan blows into the back of the case.
