Relay 12 VDC Best Switch and Relay

These relays are amazing! Easy to install! Simple wiring instructions. Works as intended with no failure. Installs one to turn on the 12" lightbar and the other to turn on the backup camera system. Does exactly what you need a relay for!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Socket required

Just don't buy. Best accessories Performance

Hands off. They lack strength. The picture doesn't match who you are. The cable colors in the picture do not match what you will receive. The wires going to the connector terminals are very thin. Just don't buy them. I don't trust them one bit.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Upgrades

Great price for high processing quality and 40 A rated current

Find the schematic online as there are no instructions included. Standard 4 pin relay, works fine, strong 14 gauge wires if anyone is interested. Great price for high build quality and 40A rated current.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Volume

Socket too narrow for relay

Bought about 2 months ago and finally used. Only two stars because they are small, 5 pin and the sockets are daisy chained together. The other three stars were due to the relay connections being incredibly tight. Even with the dielectric grease, the corner of the relay slammed into my arm and pinched it tight. Hopefully the next set won't be that bad.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Thermal Melting in Spare Parts

These relays melt at a constant current of 30 amps, each of which draws 2, totaling 60 amps. solar charge. Yes, the plastic melts and with it the plug. I suppose I'll ill see how long they last and stop there and I think it's good that I have 3 addons and to save them I have to spend more money by making an entry split into two to charge no more than 15 amps each constant. 80 amps my ass**. 5 months later I had to replace them just wanted to see how long they last.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Works well but specs are confusing.

These relay specs are confusing. "The high coil capacity of 40A makes it easier to handle high current applications." What the hell does that mean? The coil has nothing to do with "strong currents". "40A 14 VDC" is written on the top of the relay (see picture). I've never seen a relay contact rated for 14V DC. Either Type-0 or really crappy contacts. I'll let you know if you fail. The measured current consumption for the relay coil is 128 mA at 12 V. The resistance is 84 ohms. It's been fairly…

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

These relays are CHEAP. And not in a good way.

relays are weak. VERY WEAK. They stumble and switch to direct current on their own. I use them in circuits according to drawing 2a-30A and in the end they all do fine. The first made it with 2-2x3 cubic LEDs within hours of installation. That's about 3A total draw. abominable. And they were all relays. Swapping leads to the same result; Slow running fault that was stopped immediately with a new relay from the auto parts store. The only reason I gave that 2 stars is because it's still a good…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
