Fits like a glove. Good price. Easy installation, just click. Raise the hood and hold it open. I have no idea what "transparency" means in relation to this product.

Apart from the decals these look like twins to the stock Porsche pillars. They should prevent future bumps on my head where the forehead cap has fallen off in the past.

Totally seamless fit on my 2007 Cayman S. The front rises quickly and powerfully. Most importantly it holds open and doesn't fall on your head (unlike my old ones!).

Great replacement bonnet muffler and much cheaper than OEM ($50+). The hood happily lifts now and this has saved me from the issue of my hood randomly NOT unlocking by pressing the inside button or key button.

These struts appear to provide better lift when new than the original struts. watch the video Easy do-it-yourself installation. Not trivial, but certainly does not require a lot of screwdriver skills. You'll need a fairly small screwdriver - I got a pack of five from Target for $5. Watch any number of YouTube videos. The new ones went in without much hassle. My car is a 2008 Cayman S, but you should get similar results with the same vintage 911 and Boxster.

Also replaced the old front bonnet struts on my Cayman 08. Note these new ones were longer than the struts I removed, part number: 997-511.551.01. I'm not sure if this will cause friction or installation issues in the future, but it seems to be working fine for now. Argue about return and only buy OEM. I didn't realize how bad my old shelves were in until I put new ones in. The seller has listened very carefully to my comments and concerns and will work on the revision of the frame body…

They work just as well as any OEM sticks and cost a lot less! Once I installed mine, the difference was immediately amazing! Not sure if the previous ones were replaced and when as I was the 3rd owner of my car but it gave me peace of mind that the trunk wasn't going to fall off again and hit me in the head, especially not on cold days. Now it opens as soon as I lift the trunk! I highly recommend it. Also, I installed them on a 2007 Porsche 911 Targa 4 and they fit perfectly!
