This support spring is a game-changer for anyone with an older Chevy truck. Snap the attachment points on the hood into place. DO NOT BUY

I'm not sure if these struts are too stiff or maybe just a little too long, but we heard a loud pop as we closed the hood. Opened the hood and the struts fell off the mounting points on the hood. Damaged both sides now I have to find new brackets to mount the hood and find pillars that aren't junk.
