Last month I went to Mexico to do scuba diving. The light matches my GoPro very well and gives a lot of light into the caves. I think the money was well spent, I've done over 150 dives in 30 years and quite a few night dives and this is by far the best flashlight I've ever used.

Uses this with gopro. I was really hoping this would bring out the colors of the sea life in the video, but it's not bright enough for that. Another diver had a really bright flashlight that worked much better even though it was just a headlight. I'll probably just put this on the shelf and get a bright spot light instead of a wide angle light. At least I didn't lose too much money.

I bought this prior to a recent dive in the Cayman Islands. It worked fine for me, survived two dives a day and possibly longer, but I charged it every night. As others have said it works fine up close but my only complaint is as it has 3 separate LEDs for you to see. Well, what do you call it - artifacts? light shadows? It is not solid pure light. That's good enough for hobbyists (like me), but if you want high-quality photos or videos, keep looking.

This is a replica of an original dive light made a few years ago; the original used a sandblasted aluminum reflector that seemed designed to provide even and diffused light from three LEDs; This version has a chrome plated plastic reflector which doesn't seem to pass the design test and produces a very uneven light with some very bright spots and streaks that would also make any video shot with it look cheap. This is a large light that lasts approximately six hours on a medium light setting. It uses real batteries from GoPro, but sometimes the batteries can jump out of the sockets, causing problems when lighting or charging. I should always check that the batteries are installed correctly before each use and charge cycle. The latch on my door broke after about a year. Luckily I contacted the seller (Good Partner Sports) and he sent me a pair of replacement doors free of charge, for which I sincerely

So after some use in this review I have to point out a few things I experienced. For the most part it's light, decent but not great. If you're diving at night, it provides enough light for close-up shots, but isn't good enough for shooting more than 5 feet from the subject.
