🔌 Enhance Installation Ease with the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Mounting Adaptor Review

We have called 15 glass supply stores in our metro area and none of them come to your home and cut the necessary hole in the glass door or window to install this product! said since it was sold it wasn't a problem. I was wrong.

It is what it is and I had no trouble installing it. However, I'm giving it a 3 because I can't figure out why the package doesn't come with a template for a 12" cutout. I had to spend time making it on the board I wanted to install it on. It would be a lot easier.

I replaced the dual scan cat door with this pet door. After installing the adapter on a metal door, it worked fine. The large size makes it easy for our cat to get in and out. I love being able to remotely control the input or output from my phone. The app keeps track of all entries and exits.

This is an adapter for the larger SureFlap, not the cat-sized Dual Scan. The description (possibly due to translation issues) is very vague. Also, as mentioned in another review, there is no template/instructions for this, hence 4 stars. Seems to be good quality, I ordered a smaller one and sent it back.

Overall this product is good. However, the chipset does not allow you to control individual pets leaving the house. In other words, they can either all come out or they all get locked in. We had to remove and reinstall the product so that the inside of the product was on the outside of the door. We needed to be able to prevent a blind cat from going outside while allowing another cat with the chipset to do so.

Yes. Although we chose to install it in an acrylic panel in the window which was a bit of a learning curve for my husband who has never cut acrylic before, the instructions were excellent and the door works great. We have many street cats and one cat that is not (yet) neutered and is not allowed inside. We also have 4 cats that are indoors cats that like to go outside sometimes. This is a great solution to a problem. Whoever is allowed in gets a microchip. It was easy to train them.
