This product was shipped quickly and does everything it is supposed to do so you've come to the right place. However, Microsoft Surfaces can only be charged using their specific chargers and this will power on the Surface 2 RT but won't charge the device unless it's a Microsoft charger. This is based on my experience and research.

Poor quality. Try contacting the company for assistance. The core insulation detaches from the magnetic adapter and sometimes sparkles briefly. when the cable moves. How do I contact the seller for support? No email or link anywhere on the listing or on the order.

I have a first-gen Surface Pro (still super fast and pumping!) but I ran through two cables...this is my third! Glad someone is doing it! This one works really well and was Prime (I almost panicked when mine broke thinking it might be the board) so it came right away! Five stars for work, top notch delivery and anxiety relief! 😆

3 different times I got off my Surface to charge and my device wouldn't turn on.! After I removed the charger and reinserted another charger, my device started working again. The battery level was 87%. Useless! I'm just glad it didn't damage my finish!. Also, the connector didn't fit properly and I spent more time turning my device on its side to try and install the latch and stay on it!

If you need a charger and a pinch, this will definitely hold you back until you buy a genuine Microsoft charger. The magnet on this charger is so weak you can't even move the surface without it falling out. Also, the LED on the charger flashes while charging, which I don't think should happen. It works out. If you need a cheap charger right now but I wouldn't trust it to be reliable in the long run.
