Surface Charger AYNEFF Microsoft Charging Review

Worked like clockwork at first and I appreciated the longer cable than the one that came with the Surface Book. However, after only 7 months, the charger is no longer functional and can no longer be repaired due to the housing construction. Intentionally designed to fail and not repairable. This of course was after the Revain return period had expired and there is no contact information for the seller, AYNEFF. Super upset.

This charger works just like the original, so don't think you have to buy a $80+ laptop charger from the Microsoft Store. This is madness! Buy this product as it works great and costs a lot less!

Bought to replace my daughter's Surface Pro 7 laptop. She's hard on her chargers of all kinds. I checked with the store I bought the laptop from and they told me a new charger cable is about $85! I decided to try this one and it works great! Very reasonable price so I might replace it a few times if I need it but so far so good!

I bought this product in March, it has been working for the last 3 months but I have noticed that the part that plugs into the wall and into the box is the cable is that goes into the real computer comes out to be able to actually charge it, it started to separate. I was trying to fix it and there was a bang and sparks and I thought it was going to explode. Luckily I only burned my fingers slightly. This is the second time I buy it for my son. The first lasted about a year. I don't think it's bad for the price. That's good, and my (teenage) son probably doesn't do well with it. I would recommend.

Today is Wednesday and I received it either Sunday or Monday. I noticed tonight that the brick is so hot I can't hold it comfortably (to say the least) and am concerned about the melting/fire. Since the device from another supplier only lasted 4 months, I will pay the extra charge and stay with the OEM from now on. My Surface (and home) is more important to me than saving a few bucks.

Have you read the ratings for these items? NONE of these are consistently reliable. NO. The first thing that impressed me was the packaging.
