Surge Protector & USB Charger With LED Night Light - TORCHSTAR Multi Plug Outlet Extender Review

I bought this in April of 2020, then 2 months ago, the light died! We really missed this in our kitchen. I used this to plug in my phones, my kindle etc. At night, when we shut the lights off to get ready for bed, it lights up enough to see our way to bathroom. In the middle of the night, when we have to get up, it comes on with enough light to see our way. It's great in everyway, but it should last longer than 6 months. My husband wants to get another one, but I don't want to spend the money…

Plugged this in next to my bed. Really works well. I can plug in my note 8 and set it on the cradle above. I'm able to put 2 phones on the cradle and charge both easily. I've had no problems with charging a tablet or phone yet. The outlets work fine. It's very convenient there are 4 of them. I really like the night light with a button to turn on or off. No really complaints with this product. I will check back in If I do have any problems. Photo is with my Iphone 8 on the cradle

I purchased this product to help our poor outlet that gets much use but is stuck behind the dreaded "couch". Help out it did by allowing the lamp to be plugged in with a sideways angle of attack. This now makes the cord happy as it is not kinked and this no longer needs to visit the chiropractor. We can now plug in our USB charge cords with the same beneficial sideways attack angle.Since it is located behind the couch we have not used the night light feature but I have tested it and it works…

It works as advertised. The 2 USB connectors are enough for my wife and me. Use it in our kitchen, and it serves as a very convenient night light for those midnight runs to the kitchen!

Got this for the bathroom, the light is a little bright but it gets the job done. I'm able to have my electric toothbrush, shaver and phone all connected at the same time while still having power outlets to spare. Great product!

According to the paperwork that came with the outlets mine will not work. I loved the idea of having extra USB outlets instead of a trip.

I like this for travel as sometimes there isn't a plug close to where you need it plus I like having a night lite.Sometimes there are no USB ports available so this product solves all these problems.

Had tried other products and either the light was too dim or they didn’t feel safe when plugging things in . none of that here looks good and works great.

Love the design and is perfectly set up to charge and hold your devices while you can still use the plug ins. I have it in my bathroom, able to charge my phone, power my speaker, and get ready for the day.Super easy install, just plug in and go.

Bought for iPhone. Great idea. However, online said 2.4 amps and gave impression it would step down if tech device called for less. iPad's around 1.5 amps. Actual instructions read 2.4 amps. Nothing was stated that it adjusts downward, nor would I expect it to check the needed draw from the device at the given price. At 2.4 amps I erred on the side of caution as Apple's cube is 2.5 amps.

From the beginning it’s USB charging was very slow. It was nice to provide additional outlets and a night light, but as time went by it seems to warp and not fit the outlet. Pressed it hard a number of times, pull it from the wall socket and push it back in … helps, but getting worse. This should not happen.

Unit is just what I was looking for. The night light is a nice bonus. Outlets are a bit close to the wall, making is difficult to plug in a small transformer or phone charger but, that should not be a problem because you can charge your phone or tablet with the charging ports on the unit.I am very satisfied with the unit so far.

I bought this as a white elephant gift where participants could "steal” other participant’s gifts. The gift could be stolen up to three times. It was the most desired item, and it was stolen three times. A husband and wife teamed up to steal and win the item. I have one of my own that I’ve appreciated in the bathroom for the many curling irons, electric toothbrushes, Water Pick. The night light is a great addition. Recommended.

I use this as a nightlight in the kitchen, behind the coffeemaker, and have a charger cable hooked up to it as well. It’s perfect! I will eventually move it because I can only use one side of it as the outlet it in a corner, but wherever I use it I know it will be perfect.

I loved this! I kept it in its box for a few months in anticipation of a move. Plugged it in and loved it. It’s a busy kitchen area and I generally have 2-3 things plugged in at a time and a phone charger (love that this has the place for the cord to charge a phone!). Less than 3 months after I began using it, it has failed. It’s not the outlet, I tried moving it elsewhere. Disappointed that it didn’t last, but really great while it worked!

This product performs as specified. The light is not too bright, yet puts out enough light to be helpful. The unit charges quickly and is secure when plugged in. Im pleased with my purchase plus the person I gave one to loves hers as well.

It’s a powerful little light. We use this for the master bathroom for the middle of the night rendezvous. No more hitting our toes on furniture in the dark and still have plug-ins for our devices

Love these! This is the 2nd one I bought for a bathroom because the 1st one is so handy. nightlight, USB ports, extra plug ins & a phone cradle. Perfect!
