bought 2 of these for my older kids party and let my younger kids use the automatics, at the end of the war they were swapped out for being so easy to use. My younger kids didn't quite understand how automatic guns work, so they kept pulling and releasing the trigger which would get stuck in the bullets, but this item makes it easy to set up and fire, or you can hold the trigger permanently Reload ammo for rapid fire. My children are 4, 6, 8, 10 years old.

Maybe I was more excited about this launcher than my 5 year old. He was happy to receive it as a birthday present, but it was a little difficult to pull it all the way out at first. Easy for an adult. Firing 20 darts quickly is cool. Of course we will add a new dimension to our Nerf Wars. I liked the packaging. Came in a thin brown box which was very easy to open. I actually opened it up and loaded the revolver so all I had to do was put it in when he opened the gift.

This NERF pump-action shotgun is quite reliable. That's about as accurate as any Elite dart NERF. They are not exact, but not to be expected either. The only problem is that small children don't have the strength or dexterity to fire, turn and reload a gun. 6+ will most likely make it, but below this level MUCH parental help is required. In any case, it probably says 8+ on the box, and rightly so in terms of ease of use, without even going into the safety aspects of dart shooting.

I wasn't aware this came in an unmarked brown Hasbro box but I see in the listing that it was described - I just didn't notice. Not that it matters, really. The packaging and description states that the kit should contain a blaster, barrel, darts and instructions. Everything is included except for the instructions. I had to search YouTube to figure out how to use the barrel properly. It used to be easy, but I didn't want to go wrong and risk breaking it before I gave it. It seems to work well…

March 2021 edit: Received replacement with no problems. Customer service was excellent and quick. Very happy with it and the new product is great - the kids love it and by far one of their best nerf guns - doesn't jam and allows for lots of bullets so they don't have to keep reloading. I bought the Elite SurgeFire in a brown box for myself (because it's growing up making gifts for itself to buy!).
