This is exactly what I was looking for. The size and weight allow you to carry the watch in your pocket. Throw away the cheap chain, it's useless. I ended up ordering 4 more for each car's ashtray.

I like this signal mirror. It's made of a composite material that feels durable. It's a good size and the lace is good too. I attached it to my BCD where it will stay. I hope I never find myself in a situation where I need it. But if I do, I'm sure the mirror will be helpful.

very simple block. The whistle and compass are a joke. Bought for diving so size and lanyard are a plus. The whistle doesn't work at all. The compass is so small that it is only good for orientation to the north. The image is blurry when viewed through the center of the star. Great product for some, don't get this if you plan on needing it for survival. Take the real military. 3 stars max on this one.

You have to look through the center when trying to signal something like an airplane. Oddly enough, it's pretty blurry and hard to see. Yes, I removed the protective plastic layer. It's still a mirror, still plastic, small and light. I just can't use it the way a human should, so I'm already looking for a substitute that I can use properly.

Visit the Dollar Store and shop for a makeup mirror, compass and whistle. You get more features than that. I can't signal anything accurately from a distance, I can't speak out loud. Aiming at it is pointless. I can't see a 10 foot square box 100 yards from the sun. I don't even see the same box from 30 feet away when looking at the sun (like using it as a signal mirror). Imagine trying to give a signal to an airplane or vehicle.

Just received the mirror and although it was in a plastic case the surface was chipped. After removing the plastic cover on the corners of the mirror, 3 spots chipped or didn't stick when pressing the mirror. I tried rubbing an area and a small piece broke off. All the clues in the product description led me to believe that the mirror was of higher quality, but the poor condition upon receipt quickly changed my mind.
