Best for braiding in my opinion

Yes I can knit without a needle but if you are working with slippery yarn, wide cables or for a variety of other reasons this braiding needle is the best. After removing the holding stitches, the needle simply falls down without the risk of stitches falling out when knitting cross stitches. Then use the short end of the needle to finish the cable. Since I knit a lot of braids (and have done so for over 60 years), when I have 2 I always have one on hand and don't have to hunt for a paperclip to…

Highly Recommended

I've been knitting for about 20 years and this is the BEST cable needle you can get. Horizontal pins sometimes slip, but this pin always stays in place. What I like about U-shaped cable needles: 1. the seams don't fall off 2. the seams and the cable needle don't get in the way. What I don't like about U-shaped cable needles: 1. it's directional: it would be a lot easier for me if I remembered to put a loop on the short end so I could knit it from the…
