I use this outside my bedroom door every night to keep my cats from scratching the door and door jamb. I used it the first night, I had the beep setting turned on and didn't need to use any other features. We haven't had it long but it works. We can't get the Beep + Shock mode to work. Only beep or shock mode works. We also noticed that it doesn't hit all areas of the mat where it should. I lower my hand, I don't feel it. If I touch one of the "lines" where the shot is, I'll feel it. We have a second one that we haven't tried yet to see if it has the same issue.
