Broke right out of the box! If you were to reconnect the wire that came loose from the switch. It's everything you want in a cheap flashlight. Now it works and looks good. UPDATE After living with it for a while I think it's a good lamp. The on/off switch is nice and looks good, I would recommend!

Our bedroom is 13ft x 13ft. We didn't want lightbulbs taking up space on our small bedside tables and these wall lights (40 watts each) brighten up the bedroom well. Ease of installation. A movable lever allows you to adjust the position of the reading light. And there's a quiet elegance in the simplicity of the design and the symmetry that one offers on each side of the bed.

Nice black lantern. I prefer the drum shaped shade of this light over the traditional cones. It was placed on a flat surface and plugged into an electrical outlet. I want the mounting plate on the wall to have slots for the pan head screws so they fit snugly on a flat surface. The light swung back and forth as you wanted it on and off. I solved the problem by using wooden spacers under the mounting plate.

These works are perfect for me. I plug them into an outlet and mount them on the wall with command bars. The installation was quite difficult to make sure it was right between the lamp and the back plate (which mounts to the wall). I wish I had some small spacers for this, but I made do with what I had on hand. Although I used the command bars, my setup didn't differ much from the intended tightening method.

I have to admit I wasn't particularly impressed with the pictures of this product but the price was good so we decided to give it a try. And I'm glad we did! We installed one of the lights above my son's bunk bed so he could turn it on and off as needed and another on the adjacent wall for the optimal amount of light. I bought a wired lamp so I can't comment on the wired one, but the version I received is a piece of junk. Mounting hardware is poor quality and doesn't work, I had to use my own. The design of the mounting plate that attaches to the wall is terrible and when installed as advertised it doesn't fit the wall snugly. I had to drill small holes in the wall for the screw heads to fit snugly. If you are looking for an easy to install jig I would suggest you try elsewhere.

It was very easy to install BUT the two parts that screw to the wall screws don't actually screw flush with the wall light's wall plate so it can wobble if you adjust your hand to hold it light moves. It was pretty easy to fix. I just put a washer under each piece before screwing it on and it felt a little more secure. Overall, it didn't matter much. The light is very nice and has made the bed area more "collected". My photo contains "before and after".

I bought this lamp to replace an old bedside reading lamp that has seen better days.
