This shaver is way better than others I've tried. The handle is comfortable to hold and never slips out of your hand. It's been 2 months and I'm still using the original blade and it still looks like new. The fact that the price is better makes the purchase really attractive for me. I was unpleasantly surprised when Dorco stopped selling razors directly on their website for about $1 each for the Pace 6 (probably because Gillette / They were being sued by Procter & Gamble, because they had made blades that were much cheaper and matched their quality - google it). Several reviews say the SWIPE is better than the Gillette Mach 5 (5 blades). I wouldn't go that far - the Mach 5 is a great razor. Both the 6-blade SWIPE and the Mach 5 offer a closer shave than a 2-blade razor and better than any electric razor I've used. Also, each one lasts longer than the 2-blade razor and provides a closer shave than the 3, 4, and 5-blade razors I've tried. In my view, the competition for the best razor is too close. I've been using Gillette razors and blades for 36 years. No longer! I find the quality of the shave is better than the big boys. The blades also seem to last longer. The only downside I have is shaving the area under my nose. I will no longer pay for expensive blades. I've always had a tendency towards ingrown sideburns, never had a problem. Combine the blades with Cremo Shaving Cream for the best shave I've ever had.
