Love it BUT you need a protective glove or all purpose food holder!

Borner makes a universal feeding stand for its mandolins, which is also ideal for this. I bought that and a pair of protective gloves and you'll definitely need one or the other otherwise you'll rip off a few fingers. This cut makes great waffle fries. Watch some YouTube videos to learn how to flip a potato. So easy after you've done it a few times. They are baked in a deep fryer without oil until they are nice and crispy. Highly recommend for a fun dinner or snack, especially for kids.

This tool is good for many reasons

This is the tool I've been waiting for! I'm a huge fries connoisseur and I'm dying to make waffles at home. This tool is great for many reasons: it requires no assembly, has 3 thickness settings for fries, is sharp to hold you securely when moving veggies, and takes up so little storage space. I'm a MASSIVE fan! I've used it on sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, zucchini, carrots (a bit tricky but doable), and apples (not recommended). He recommended the use of handguards when cutting, but did…

This works for making waffle fries

I bought 2 more Revain waffle pans and returned them both because they didn't work. This was my last attempt and it works great. The blade shape is perfect for perfect waffle cutting. The only downside is that there is no finger protection. My mandoline slicer has a food holder and I use it with this slicer. Wear a cut-resistant glove or use a fork to hold your food while you cut it. I hate to think how much it will save you if you don't. It's easy to clean and has two slice thickness settings.

Not sharp! Not the same quality as previous models

Not Sharp! I bought it because I loved my old Borner waffle iron. It finally broke after decades of use. I tried replacing, I thought it would be the same. No, that is not so. The blade is so dull I have to press really hard to cut it which is a recipe for cutting yourself even if you have a holder which I do. I tried to return it in the returns window but the company I bought it from wouldn't allow it. I'd love to elaborate, but my first review was disapproved, so I hope this review goes…

Don't talk, keep on hunting!

Waffle fries are the Cadillac of fries. Thanks to the increased surface area exposed to the oil, the fries will be crispier than any other piece. Take french fries, for example—they can be delicious right out of the fryer, but if left in a bowl for a few minutes, they turn into a wet, oily gob. French fries don't have that problem — if cooked properly, they'll stay crispy for over an hour before turning mushy. However. Cutting potato waffles is no easy task. When I saw an inexpensive cutter at…
