Enhance Visibility with SYLVANIA 9005 XtraVision Halogen Headlight Bulbs (2-Pack) Review

First time wrong bulbs, SYLVANIA called and got the correct model from them. They worked great. My 2005 Nissan Altima is roadworthy again. I didn't like the presence of only one low beam.

When I installed these new ones they were noticeably brighter than the factory bulbs. But over the years, they gradually dimmed for the everyday driver who had switched off the daytime running light function. By the fifth year they were so boring they were worthless. So I would say they have an effective lifespan of 3 years. YMMV.

As they burn brighter they burn harder which shortens their lifespan. They are designed for up to 150 hours, but can be less. The light quality is good compared to factory bulbs. Also, if you have daytime running lights that use these bulbs, the lifespan will also be reduced.

They fit my 2010 Mercury Milan V6 but (thanks Detroit) you have to move the front bumper to install them. Just stupid! And they failed in 16 months. Yes, I leave them on during the day driving, but I drive about 30 hours a month so they only last about 500 hours. Not very long. It's a pity that they were also fixed in opening times.

I received the package only yesterday and found that the product itself was already open and sealed with tape. I don't want to try to install these bulbs if one burns out and thinks they're new. If the item I paid for had listed USED LAMPS I would not have bought them to begin with and bought locally at higher prices.

These lightbulbs are exactly what I was looking for. My wife's car has the usual ugly yellow bulbs from the factory and I wanted to increase visibility and also improve the look of the car. These lamps definitely made an impression. Visibility has definitely improved and the color EXACTLY matches the luxurious look of luxury cars.

Does the job but cannot be installed on a 2006 Civic. Maybe the more expensive is better? It was very difficult for me to get them to snap into the socket. However, the nest was so tight that I wasn't worried that they would detach. For those who installed a 2006 civilian car, good luck trying to maneuver the headlight bulb without touching the bulb. The driver's side was only slightly lighter than the passenger side. Use gloves if you have them.

The bulbs arrived on time and in reliable packaging. Initial attempts to install lightbulbs were unsuccessful, largely due to my large hands and lack of access to storage bulbs. The dealer installed it when I changed the oil. Once installed the bulbs worked great and provided enough light on the darkest streets. Incredible performance compared to others. This is a common bulb in Siennas for DRLs and high beams that uses a voltage drop. My original headlights burned out after almost 15 years and my first impulse was to replace them with LEDs, which I did.
