They are very thin delicate brittle yellowish in color so if you don't need them for a simple project, not for heavy heavy duty applications. I haven't counted them all but they look like 500 at best and are 7.5 inches tall.

I have bought these twice, once from Revain, once from Tach-It; Although both products had the same product code on the packaging, they were not identical products. One was slightly thicker and wider. However, I haven't had any problems with any of them. They work well, they pull taut and hold even under heavy tension.
